PROGRAM DIRECTORS


Tom Halverson, PhD Executive Director/Lead Faculty
Dr. Halverson is the co-founder of the College Access Project and serves as its Executive Director and one of the Lead Faculty. He is also a Senior Researcher with the Center for the Study of Teaching and Policy, and a faculty member within the College of Education at the University of Washington.

Nicole Galipeau, MEd Associate Director/Lead Faculty
Nicole Galipeau brings a wealth of teaching and program development experience to her role as co-founder and Lead Faculty. She has an extensive background working with At-Risk youth, as well as low income/homeless students. Nicole also teaches within the Developmental Education Division at Edmonds Community College.


PROGRAM FACULTY
 

Kari Johnstone
Kari is one of TCAP's Lead Faculty, having worked with the program for over 2 years. Kari holds a baccalaureate degree in sociology from Pomona College. She is currently working on a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on multicultural education from the University of Washington. Kari has worked as a tutor and teacher for low income and underrepresented students and has also worked in college admissions.
 
Meg Zabielski
Meg has been involved with the College Access project since 2007, and now works with us in a Lead Faculty role. She has a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Illinois. Meg is currently finishing her master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Washington College of Education. She also works as an academic adviser for undergraduate students at the University of Washington.
